LA HISTORIA DEL DANZÓN
Invitado: Don Jesus Ortega Hernández
El danzón nace en Matanzas, Cuba con el primer danzón: "Las alturas de Simpson" compuesto por el jóven músico Miguel Ramon Faildé Pérez que nació un 23 de diciembre de 1852 en el poblado de Caobas en Huamacaro, quien provenía de una familia de gran tradición musical, todos en su familia eran musicos; fue alumno del maestro Federico Pitier. Ese primer danzón se presentó a la sociedad en el Club de la Ciudad de Matanzas el 1° de enero de 1879 y posteriormente en el Liceo Artístico y Literario de la misma ciudad; aunque existen datos de que meses antes en agosto de 1878, Miguel Faildé tocó este danzón para los condes De Luna durante las fiestas de Santa Aurora.
A la habanera o danza se le considera la madre del danzón, este nuevo ritmo surge como un recurso para que los bailarines tuvieran descanso en un clima en extremo caluroso, son las clases altas las primeras receptoras de este nuevo ritmo, sin embargo rapidamente tuvo aceptación por toda la población.
La orquesta típica o de viento estaba originalmente compuesta por Cornetín, Trombón de cilindro o pistón, figle o bombardino, clarinete en do, dos violines, contrabajo, timpanis y güirero o calabazo.
Hasta la fecha el danzón se compone de un paseo o introducción, una primera parte que es lucimiento de clarinetes o melodía; una segunda parte que es el lucimiento de violines y una tercera parte de metales, más ritmica y más larga que hoy llamamos el Montuno.
El tránsito comercial entre Cuba y los puertos del Golfo de México promueve la llegada del Danzón a Puerto Progreso, Yucatán, para después llegar al puerto de Veracruz a finales del siglo XIX (coincide el hecho de que en Cuba en ese momento se desarrollaba el movimiento independentista y anti anexionista encabezado por José Martí), donde obtiene su carta de naturalización.
En 1913 llega a Veracruz el músico timbalero Tiburcio Hernández "Babuco" con su danzonera, más adelante llega a México el cubano Consejo Valiente Roberts, mejor conocido como “Acerina”, quien fue determinante para la mexicanización del danzón. Durante toda la década de los veintes se mantuvo el interés del danzón y la aceptación del género ocurre en la decada de los 30's.
El danzón venido de Cuba se enriqueció en México agregándose saxofones, arreglos musicales, siendo sobresaliente los solos de trompeta, piano, timbales, clarinetes, etc.
